Huang Shengfa’s Road to Victory
When the final table began, Junjie He held a commanding chip lead, while Huang Shengfa entered third in chips.
In his post-tournament interview, Huang shared his mindset and approach to the game:
“When I reached the final table, I wasn’t very familiar with the other players,
so my strategy was simply to take things slow and gradually chip them down.
Because I didn’t know much about their playing styles, I actually felt less pressure.”
That patient strategy proved effective.
Thanks to a favorable seat draw — positioned between two big stacks — Huang was able to take advantage of his position, consistently picking up small pots and shifting the table dynamics in his favor.
He steadily built momentum, eliminating Sishu Peng (7th place) and Jiapeng Yu (6th place),bringing himself neck-and-neck with chip leader Junjie He.Huang’s surge continued as he won a crucial massive pot against Junjie, seizing the chip lead for the first time — and from that moment, he never looked back.
With unwavering composure and precise timing, Huang went on to eliminate two more opponents, entering heads-up play against Junjie He with a commanding lead.
Moments later, he sealed the victory, capturing the Red Dragon Championship title and etching his name in Asian poker history.
