Daniel Rezaei Wins Triton Jeju $60K NLH 8-Handed Title
At the Triton Poker Series Jeju 2026, Austrian pro Daniel Rezaei finally broke through. After 16 previous cashes without a title, he captured his first Triton trophy. In a marathon final table that stretched into the early hours of Sunday morning, Rezaei outlasted a stacked field to earn a career-best $1,939,000 payday.
His heads-up opponent, Aliaksei Boika, had also made multiple deep runs on the Triton circuit without securing a title. The 31-year-old Rezaei, a WSOP bracelet winner, had long been knocking on the door, while Boika had built a reputation as a dangerous regular with consistent final table appearances.
In the end, Rezaei halted Boika’s comeback from short stack to chip leader and closed out the victory at around 3 a.m. local time.
The final hand was a classic cooler: Rezaei’s ace-queen held against Boika’s king-queen after Boika committed his stack. Rezaei paired his ace while Boika missed his draw, sealing the win.
Reflecting on his long-awaited victory, Rezaei said:
“I had a great 2025. I really wanted one of these trophies but couldn’t quite get there. It feels amazing to finally win one at my first live stop of the year. I really wanted it, and now I have my first Triton trophy.”
The win didn’t come easy. Rezaei was short-stacked at one point during the final table before a crucial double-up shifted the momentum. A key coin flip against Nick Petrangelo helped him build a stack, and from there, he took control of the game.
“I got one lucky spot and won the flip. After that, everything went my way. I was hitting the right flops and building from there.”
As he admitted, variance played its part—but this time, it was on his side. After multiple close calls, Rezaei finally adds a Triton title to his resume, alongside his WSOP bracelet, EPT title, Merit Poker win, and other major achievements.
