The world-renowned poker brand World Poker Tour (WPT) has officially confirmed that it will make its fourth appearance in Taipei from August 6 to 19, 2025!
Once again, the event will be hosted in partnership with Taiwan’s pioneering poker organization CTP Club, taking place at the Asia Poker Arena in grand fashion.

WPT Prime Championship — The Main Event Spotlight
The highlight of the series, the WPT Prime Championship, will feature a guaranteed prize pool of NT$30,000,000 (≈US$1,000,000).
Last year’s event attracted 1,666 entries, generating a total prize pool of NT$50,925,500, with champion Jereld Sam taking home a career-best payout of NT$8,065,000 (≈US$250,000).
This record set a high bar for 2025, but with a strengthened lineup and nine satellite events guaranteeing 48 seats, this year’s Championship is expected to draw an even larger field.
In addition to the lucrative top prize, the Champion will also earn a US$10,400 seat to the 2025 WPT World Championship (deducted from the prize pool), along with complimentary accommodation provided by WPT.
